                                                                  the  following  statement  to  all
                                                                  Waves in the recent issue of Waves
                                                                  Newsletter,  and,  for  those  who
                                                                  missed it we provide a  reprint:
                                                                   "With  V-E  Day  a  month  l>ehind
                                                                  us,  Waves  know  the  truth  of  the
                                                                  phrase  which  was  reiterated  .all_
                                                                 • that day:  'This  is  a  time  for  re-
                                                                  joicing,  but  it is  even more  a  time
                                                                  for  rededication.'  The  war must go
                                                                 ,on  and  Waves  are  needed  to  keep
                                                                  it going toward the day of ultimate
                                                                  victory.  Readjustments  of  plans
                                                                  and  personnel  as  the  war  shifts
                                                                  from  two  oceans to, one  will  make
                                                                  the next months difficult  for every-
                                                                  one.  The  worn-en  who  can  carry on
                                                                  cheerfully  in  the  presence  of  un-
                                                                  anticipated  change  or  lack  of
