Lt. Ted Gruhl.er was the dif-
ference between defeat and vic-
tory for his Armed Guard tennis
squad Thursday, when he paced
his team to a 2-1 triumph over
Tadcen, in the finals of the Intra-
Mural net tourney.
Booming forehand placements
raised havoc with the game of Lt.
Malcolm Booth, Tadcen's number
two man, who went down in sur-
prising defeat to Gruhler in a two
set match, 6-3, 7-5. Gruhler was
at the peak of his game and
varied his .strokes with the pres-
sure he brought to · bear on the ,-
aggressive Booth. It was the third
and deciding match.
