                                                               crudeness are most valuable assets
                                                               worthy  of  cultivation.  Seriousness
                                                               has  its  place  but  most  of  us  are
                                                               inclined to be too serious.
                                                                 Unfortunate  indeed  is  that  in-
                                                               dividual  who  has  not  learned  to
                                                               play  and  laugh  and  to  appreciate
                                                               wholesome  fun.  There  is  truth  in
                                                               the  short  couplet:
                                                               "Laugh and the world  laughs with
                                                                   you;
                                                               Weep  and  you  weep  alone."
                                                                 We appreciate the position of the
                                                               man  who  is  down  but  not· out-
                                                               fighting  against  great  odds-
                                                               bruised  and  buffeted  by  fate-but
                                                               coming  up  with  a  smile.
